Your privacy and your data

One of our values at Wellington Community Art Gallery (WelliArt) is a commitment to maintaining your privacy and the safety of any personal details that you consent to supply us with. We all relevant aspects of data protection legislation regarding any personal information that you submit to us.

 

How we use your data

The primary purpose for which we put your personal data to use (e.g. first and last name, address, email or telephone number) is to keep in touch: to help keep you aware of what’s on, any special offers or discount codes. This is so whether we receive it digitally via our website or other social media sites, or whether we receive a hard copy, say at a face-to-face event or in the post. We will also use your address for delivery purposes, whenever you purchase an item that needs to be physically delivered to you.

Any bank details that we receive from member artists are used only to arrange payments via bank transfer, when sales have been made on your behalf.

WelliArt may also share any personal information that you provide with individuals or organisations that provide support services, e.g. delivery of physical goods. We will accept no liability for the misuse of your personal information by such third-party support organisations; thus, technically, you supply such information at your own risk. Furthermore, once you are transmitting data over the internet, it will never be totally secure, there is always an element of risk, so we re-iterate that you enter your data at your own risk.

Nonetheless, WelliArt’s commitment is that we will not sell, rent, or share your personal information in any way (other than what is listed above) without your explicit permission.

It is likely that Google Analytics will be collected using ‘cookies’, are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. This is a strategy that is widely used by numerous businesses on the internet.

 

Third-party websites

At some point, you may see links to third-party websites. Should you click on such links, they will take you to other websites that are not owned or run by WelliArt. So, we will not be held responsible for your experience there, including their privacy policy, or content, etc.

 

Removal of your data

If at any stage, you want us to safely remove you from our list, and safely destroy your personal data, do let us know by writing to contact@welliart.com
